Primus and Mucca Pazza - Montclair NJ 10-9-10

Primus SUCKS!

I got really upset at this show honestly at this show. There were so many phans yelling about Primus sucking and why would they say such a mean thing about Primus and still go to a Primus concent?

It doesn't make sense I know that at a Americana-inspired show such as Railroad Earth, a band which was never a bluegrass group, rather an Americana-folk rock jam band who could play bluegrass better than most bluegrass playing bands who like bluegrass but were still able to sound like themselves and even more so progressively than an progressive band would but at their concerts people actually like the band and would never say that they suck!

I like Primus a lot. They made us all hungry at the beginning of the set with the song Pudding Time - I LOVE getting those in my lunches (groundscore'd!) Another cool song they played was called Is It Luck which reminds me of the time that I was lucky and got a sweet rail spot just by going in front of some Deadheads who had been waiting there for hours! (Line cutt'd)! Then I saw some girl who was drinking too much and had to go make sure she stopped because I didn't want her to get sick. Turned out she hadn't been drinking just hanging out with some girl named Molly??? Weirddd not sure why your friend would let you get so drunk.

But anyways, I liked the Primus concert a lot because they had the best drummer in the world, Jay Lane, who was originally from Furthur who are awesome because Bob Weir and Phil Lesh play in that band. I dont know why Primus didnt play any Grateful Dead songs - seems like they would at least do a really sweet Grateful Dead song by the Grateful Dead - some really cool ones would be: Tomorrow Never Knows, When I Paint My Masterpiece, Johnny B. Goode, Freebird, Corrina, or Bird In a House.

Hopefully next time Primus will show some more respect to their roots of their drummer (I don't even know either of the other guys in the band honestly) and someone kept yelling that their guitarist was possessed which was really strange he seemed fine to me but anyway their drummers roots should be respected more and play some Grateful Dead songs that Furthur puts their unique style on.

Either way, Primus DOES NOT SUCK.

  1. i would like to see Primus play at a pizza place; you know like near the Port Authority in New York where a slice is $1. i think les and jay would really dig it you know the vibes and atmosphere of gritty midtown. how much would they charge to play there??
